Peace promotion

Rotary promotes understanding across cultures, trains youth and adult leaders in conflict prevention and mediation, and supports refugees fleeing conflict zones.

Rotary encourages dialogue to promote international understanding among peoples and cultures. We help in the training of adult and youth leaders so that they can be actors in the prevention and mediation of conflicts and provide support to refugees fleeing dangerous situations.

Fighting disease

We are determined to rid the world of polio and equip communities to stop the transmission of other diseases.

We sensitize and equip communities to contain the spread of deadly diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS and malaria. Our goal is to improve and expand access to free and low-cost health care, in developing regions.

Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene

Rotarians don't dig wells and end a project. We undertake sustainable projects that bring clean water, sanitation and hygiene to more people every day.

We support local initiatives through which more people have access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. Our purpose is not simply to build wells but to share our experiences with the leaders and teachers of the community so that our projects are sustainable.

Saving mothers and children

We improve access to quality healthcare, sanitation, education and economic opportunities so that mothers and their children can enjoy a better life.

Every year around six million children under the age of five die from malnutrition, lack of health care and unsanitary sanitation. By expanding access to better health services, mothers and children live healthy and strong.
